Ross McConachie Awarded The Order of the Rising Sun
On Friday, March 26th 2021, Tupicoffs Senior Financial Planner, Ross McConachie, was presented with a Decoration under the Japanese Honours system. It is our pleasure to announce that he was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette.
This award is in recognition of his contributions to promoting inter-regional exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Australia. It was presented at a special ceremony held at the official residence of the Consul-General of Japan Mr TANAKA Kazunari.
Ross has served in the Australia-Japan Society in Queensland (AJS-Q) as both Vice-Present from 2002-2007, and as President from 2007-2012. He was responsible for the initiation of several projects over his tenure, including AJS-Q’s annual careers seminar, and he also contributed greatly to the reinvigoration of the Kobe-Brisbane Sister City relationship. As a testament to his hard work and commitment this relationship celebrated its 35th anniversary last year.
We are thrilled for this distinction to be awarded to one of our Independent Financial Planners. Ross has worked with Tupicoffs since 2003 but he has previous experience with financial services all over the world. During his career he has worked overseas, in London, New York and Tokyo, and he brings an understanding of how global financial events impact investment strategies and wealth creation in an Australian environment.
Throughout his career Ross has had a particular interest in intergenerational wealth transfer through practical investment advice and management. We are thrilled to be able to have Ross on our team and we offer him our congratulations!
