CFP, B.Com FP&I - Financial Adviser
Industry Background
Kearsten has more than 5 years experience working in the Financial Planning Industry after commencing employment as a Financial Strategist/Paraplanner at the start of 2004. Prior to commencing employment with Tupicoffs in 2006, Kearsten worked in a boutique financial planning practice on the Gold Coast which provided her with a solid entry into the Financial Planning Industry. In 2005 Kearsten was awarded a Scholarship into the MLC Adviser Scholarship Program which focused on building the knowledge and skills of young financial advisers in Australia.
Kearsten took on a role as a Senior Financial Strategist with Tupicoffs in 2006 as she felt that size and quality of the Tupicoffs client base would provide her with the challenges she required to continue to build on her technical abilities. The Tupicoffs’ fee for service and conflict free model also appealed to Kearsten whose high moral and ethical standards compels her to provide financial solutions that are in the best interests of the client.
Advice Philosophy
Kearsten strongly believes that money should be seen for what it is, a means to an end. Kearsten believes accumulating wealth should always be treated as a means to achieving your goals and should not be the ultimate goal itself. With these beliefs Kearsten works with her clients to help them realise what it is they are really trying to achieve, and then works to keep them motivated and on track to achieving those goals. In an attempt to mentor financial planning students and show them the real value provided by financial advisers, Kearsten presented a lecture on ‘Goal Setting and Personal Success’ to the students of the Griffith University Professional Degree in Financial Planning.
Qualifications
Kearsten graduated top of her class with a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Financial Planning and Investments), and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.
